DeLay was strutting through Congress roughly a year ago. Those were nasty, dark times. I'm really glad he's out of there.

40. I was a little surprised that he got caught. I had figured him for being

more crafty and under-the-radar.

But it could have been he got lazy and things got out of control.

The GOP leadership in both chambers has taken a tremendous hit of late. They've lost Hastert to retirement, DeLay to legal conflicts, Frist to his own haplessness and ego (he'll likely run for TN gov next time), and Santorum to electoral defeat.
