Clinton Says ‘Boys’ Are Tough on His Wife
Clinton Says ‘Boys’ Are Tough on His Wife
By Katharine Q. Seelye

With all the sniping that ensued over Senator Hillary Clinton’s suggestion that her male rivals for the Democratic nomination were “piling on” her during the Oct. 30 debate, you’d think her campaign would’ve retired that theme.

But her strategist-in-chief, Bill Clinton, was at it again today.

“It’s a great time to be a Democrat,” Mr. Clinton told more than 800 students and supporters at Trident Technical College in South Carolina, according to The Associated Press. “Even though those boys have been getting tough on her lately, she can handle it.”

Which begs the question: Does the Clinton campaign think it’s helpful for the former president to be stepping out constantly in his wife’s defense? Last week, several Democrats criticized Mr. Clinton for suggesting Mrs. Clinton faced a Republican-style “Swift boat” attack during the debate.

If Mrs. Clinton becomes commander-in-chief, will Mr. Clinton keep popping up to admonish her opponents, whether they be in Congress or overseas?

2. It's politics and her own gaffes have led her to this point.
Doesn't Bill remember when he played Cigar King with Monica? Does he not remember how brutal Presidential politics is.

Neither he or she has a right to whine. They may as well drop out and bugger back to Arkansas. They're not acting Presidential; she can't keep her cue cards straight during the same live debate (and that's BAD), and both are hyping the "sexism card" to such an extent that their games will backfire on them.

Can't Hillary defend herself? She's been in politics for some time. She knows how it's played.
