6. that bombing got me to thinking.

first it was Israel that bombed something, then they said US did the bombing with Israel planes along for the company.

Syria had little to nothing to say about it.

Syria has tons and tons of Iraqi refugees putting a hurt on the economy.

and all that Israel/Palistine/Hamas/Fatas/ etc. business

Syria seems all ajumble

7. Ah...that's right -- thanks. And I agree -- VERY fishy. I'd like to see/hear
what Biden says about it (if anything at all) - he's the only one who's leveling with us.

Thanks again! :hi:

2. The neos would like to take Syria out as a power in the Middle
East. They can't afford, nor do the want, any locals with who could possibly object to their hijacking of the area's oil reserves. Get rid of everyone but the Saudis by calling them a terrorist nation seems to me to be their plan.

4. I suspect it's a custodial regime
...willing to play the new bogey-man for $$. If true, history and even their proximity to Iraq has taught them nothing about how such relationships with the US end.

5. They have an ineffectual leader, so policy lurches according to power struggles. nt

8. All of your posts have given me a clearer picture of the situation - thanks - and
it's ALWAYS about the oil/money, isn't it... Sigh.
