A little consideration for the undecideds, please?
If you want to make it easier on those of us who aren't convinced by any of the candidates yet, may I politely and humbly suggest a few things (and those of us feeling similarly, chime in with your own, please!)?

*Realize that most of us are putting the nation way above idealogical purity. If the case were opposite, the decision we make on ED would be very easy.

*There is no single issue for most of us.

*Please don't say that ideology A, B, or C doesn't belong at DU.

*Appreciate the fact that many of us are generally very loyal Democrats. Don't negate another's donated money, blood, sweat, and tears because they don't happen to agree with you--this hour; they might be your best pal on another.

*Engage us in reasonable debate. We should discuss what is troubling the base. It makes the party (I'm a very proud but very, very disgruntled Democrat) stronger.

*Understand that we're not voting for a celebrity, we're voting for someone we think can best rescue a faltering nation.

Thank you for your consideration.

BTW, I frequently call "bullshit" on the trivial sMSMut pushed on teevee. Media spin is my pet peeve. It's me taking the lazy-ass, lapdog, corporate media to task, not an endorsement of candidate B over candidate A. Thank you.

BTW, Part II: I'm waiting to use my "Fun Run" goodies to the end. You might want to consider the implications of that...

The ultimate good is what prevails. Even if it isn't what we want it to be. I may have my opinions, and may be more vocal on those because sarcasm is so sardonic, cool, and so typically Gen-X, but I will take the time to at the very least try to visit the other viewpoints as well.

I too am undecided. I was hoping for Al to run but, have
just about given up on any possibility of that happening.
I have narrowed my choices to 3. It is hard for me to understand
tearing other Dem candidates down insteading of promoting the
one you support. If any candidates need trashing, it is the
repukes, period. Little nit-picking mudslinging at Dem candidates
is childish and does not promote your candidate in the least.

3. Take heart citizen_jane,
A few of my Friends are not ruling out a Gore announcement. He is engaged in what we are calling a "submarine" campaign. Its there you just don't see it yet. Gore is on popular TV shows poking fun at himself. "Loitering" if you will in the public conscience. When he picks up His Nobel he can be leisurely about it, as he Does not have to be any where all the time. Al is basking in being proven correct. let him enjoy it. if and when he announces it will be after all the others have spent piles of cash. you know as well as I that Gore would simply Take the presidency if he so chooses. as it is now he can sleep in. without spending vast amounts.

if and when we Democrats shoot ourselves in the foot by voting for Hillary or Edwards. I strongly feel Al Gore will announce and save us from ourselves.

4. I don't know, Fro
I was waiting for Al too, but the Nobels seemed to me like the end. Obviously we can still dream, but your fantasy life is a lot more vivid than mine.

5. I have no doubt that
if he did run, that he would land-slide the election.
I hope you are correct. The subversive campaign would
end up being the saviest campaign run ever. Al will have
used the media against itself.

I am getting more turned off by some candidate's supporters than anything else.
If you want to help win me over, please don't act like your candidate:
-walks on water
-is the ONLY viable choice for TRUE Dems/progressives
-is inevitable and if someone is unhappy about it they can go suck an egg
Thanks!

7. I'm still undecided as well
The only thing I can say with any certainty is... the person I vote for will be a Dem.

Tearing down the other Dem candidates just turns me off. Please just give me facts on what a candidate will and won't do... I truly hate the mudslinging bull puckey.
