Hannity Program Director tries to have potential questioner arrested at bookstore
Edited on Mon Nov-12-07 01:46 AM by RamboLiberal
DavefromQueens posted this on Daily Kos:

Last night at Book Revue in Huntington, Sean Hannity's program director Phil Boyce (he of Promise Keepers, the wives submit or get hit group of the early 1990s) tried to have me arrested because he didn't like the question he thought I was going to ask Sean Hannity. Boyce called the cops on his cell phone, two policemen showed up, asked me to come with them, and a couple of hundred of Hannity sycophants cheered, clapped, and a few shouted arrest him as I walked toward the bookstore exit at the direction of the police officers. Full details will follow after the flip but the key points to remember are that no personnel of the book store ever asked me to leave while in the store, I behaved superbly and remained calm and cool at all times, and of course I committed no crimes.

-----

As I moved closer on the lines toward Hannity who was signing autographs, Phil Boyce came over. Instead of approaching me Phil Boyce (who is a good 6 ft 5 and bigger than me who is 6 ft 3 and not skinny) approached a conservative wingnut near me and said, "Are you the guy who asked Mark Levin if he was going to join the military? Boyce was in his face and the guy is denying it so I said, "I think you mean me. I'm the guy who asked Mark that question." At the time Phil Boyce was wearing a Mark Levin stalker fan club T Shirt. Boyce had a beard.

Boyce gets in my face and says to me, "You're not asking Sean Hannity that question." I said, "You're right I think I have another question for him." Boyce said, "Well what it is." I said, "I have an idea but I may change my mind by the time I get up front so I don't know yet." Boyce responds, "Well leave the store or I'll have you arrested." I responded, "I have a right to be here. The manager said I could be here. You don't work for the store so you have no authority to tell me to leave." I also said that if somebody who works for the store tells me to leave I will gladly do so and invited him to bring over the owner or manager of the store if that's what he wanted.

Boyce then proceeded to call the cops on his cell phone. (Not a wise move) Apparently he told the cops that I was "causing a disturbance" and "refused to leave private property." Boyce said that the cops are coming to arrest you and I said, "Ok if they do I'll sue you." Boyce responded, "I don't care, I have lawyers."

I sure hope DaveFromQueens pursues legal action against Boyce and I hope Dave gets to tell his story far and wide. This is not Hannity's America - he has no right to bar anyone from a public place like a bookstore if the owners do not have a problem with a patron.

16. "Moonbats" - are far left...
It is a counter to "wingnut". Thought to of been a twist on George Monbiot a progressive activist, writer.

17. That's what THEY want you to believe.
Moonbats are alien lizards with googly yellow eyes who call humans "moonbats" in an attempt do dehumanize us. Never let reptiles try to define you because it leads to the next step: THEY eat you.

14. Chickenhawk Hannity
Edited on Mon Nov-12-07 08:15 AM by SpiralHawk
As with soooo many republicon homelanders, Hannity is terrified of being called out on his chickenhawk status...

I understand why he would be ashamed of himself, along with all the other republicon homelander chickenhawks.

They have reason for shame -- especially on Veteran's Day

2. Police force backing these traitors will go down in the halls of shame
of law enforcement.
No way is this use of our consent to be governed justified.
To bully free citizens and repress what our forefathers sought to ensure. Some things border on traitorous!

4. All cops are ultimately LOCAL cops. Take names, take numbers, tell your friends.
FORGIVE when appropriate, but never FORGET.

6. The person who lied to the police is the one with the problem. The cop will end up as a witness for
the guy he arrested, when the guy sues the bully.

21. Yep and lying to a cop is illegal, isn't it?
Wingers are basically cowards. As soon as it becomes common knowledge that they can be jailed for being party to what amounts to modern day, FAUX lynch mobs, they will scurry back into dark corners and leave the bullies bare assed and buck naked, legally speaking.

11. Hannity's PD Tries To Have DailyKos Blogger Arrested For Asking Tough Questions
Well lookee what I found:

Once again, bullyboy Sean Hannity and his like-minded cronies, Mark Levin and their programming director, Phil Boyce, proved that their belligerent personas cover up lily livers. Not only did each one chicken out of military service, they are, apparently, too cowardly even to discuss it. According to DailyKos blogger, davefromqueens, Boyce called the police and tried to get him arrested for having the temerity to challenge Levin and Hannity on their service "records" at a public book signing -- even though Dave never offended the store management. Let's not let those three dodge democracy! Email Hannity at hannity@foxnews.com, Levin at marklevin.show@citcomm.com and Boyce at customerservice@abc.com and let them know that real "Great Americans" don't try to stifle dissent.

13. This Isn't A Job For The Lone Ranger
Edited on Mon Nov-12-07 08:12 AM by VogonGlory
Going after chickenhawks and other right wingie-dingies isn't a one-man job. I read that back in the day when Democrats had more political smarts and more stones under their boxer shorts (Admittedly before this gray-haired Dem got his first pair of diapers), they used to run these operations as a team. At least one of the team, preferably an unknown ingenue (Either sex), should have a loud, carrying voice. A publicity flack MIGHT be able to stop a known quantity like DavefromQueens, but one of the other hecklers would probably go undetected and give the Hannity lad or some other suitable target the worst of both worlds.

15. So Did The Manger Toss Him???
I tried to see if the Manager either called the cops or approved of him being tossed out. If not, I'd advise him to call a laywer...you might have a nice little harassment lawsuit there.

Too bad there's not a video or audio of this encounter...might be a wise suggestion for those who want to challenge these oxygen thieves to always be "wired"...video camera, cellphone or other device can be your best friend.

management for him to be there. He talked to them before the event and the local manager apparently wasn't thrilled with having to host Hannity.

The audience is screened and pre-selected and the questions are culled and picked in advance. Sort of like a BushCo FEMA press briefing.

26. Is Hannity that much of a wussy boy?
So, Hannity surrounds himself with thugs to keep people away---because
they might ask him a question?????

Hannity makes his living communicating and espousing his political beliefs.

Why does this weak little maggot need a bunch of goons protecting him
from a question?

These people are so big and loud while they hide behind their microphones
and engage in mutual masturbation with their pre-screened callers.

You get them outside of their studios, and it's, "NOoooo. Pwweease!! Save
me from the bad man with the question! I'm telling!!! Help!! Me no likey!!!
