Now, the word is "Democratic" and not "Democrat", right?
Tuesday night, when the Democrat candidates debate, am I going to hear them clawing at each other once again -- or am I going to see some representation of the pent up anger and bitterness and outright disgust most Americans are feeling for the near tragic situations the current administration has so ineptly and imprudently mismanaged, and, while winking to its neo-con and corporate supporters, lied and weedled and obfuscated its way into?

Maybe someday I will reveal it ;)

You're not on it, just in case you were wondering.

PS: To be accurate, I always forgive but I NEVER forget.

3. Usually, adjective = Democratic; noun = Democrat
But in this case I can actually see 'Democrat candidates' because they're the candidates of the Democrats. It's like saying "I'll take one of those 'Democrat' buttons."

I know this seems inconsistent but in my head it's not.

4. It's kind of a shit-ass gop deal to differentiate between democracy
and the democratic party. It seems to have started about the time when jr was using spreading democracy as his excuse for invading Iraq. It was picked up right away by the southern undertaker/televangelist/gop congressmen & brain damaged john mccain.

5. Democratic is correct
But, fuck it, democratic and democrat is just as correct when it comes to getting the message out. If the main stream doesn't understand I don't think it matters at this point. We can sort out the semantics later.

8. Well, when I read "Democrat" the message didn't get to me. Semantics did.
Partly because some places get so anal over semantics they forget about the message.

My main reason for posting this thread was to verify I wasn't reading into his verbiage incorrectly. It's hard being open-minded when someone tells ya one thing one day and then the next pretends what was said the first day never happened and now it's something else.

Which reminds me, aren't tangents wonderful, I need to update that ignore list of mine (it's not you :) :pals: )
