Listen to the troops of today. Validate what so many of our Veterans have been trying to say, despite all the noise MSM makes to drown their voice of experience out.
History Channel page on the program
A Band of Bloggers It will be replayed: Monday, November 12 12:00 PM and Monday, November 12 06:00 PM (One assumes those times are Eastern Standard Time, but check you local listings.)
(Here's a DU thread on the subject, along with you tube link that is pretty graphic in words and images:

Havocdad and I caught the program on the History Channel the other evening. It was fantastic. Gritty, difficult to view sometimes, but OH SO IMPORTANT.
The war as the troops see it, raw and poetic. Sad and very educational.
We noted that what the troops are putting online is very much like what was broadcast via the news back in the day of Vietnam... very much like the stuff that entered most American homes every evening and played a big part in the massive public outcry to get out of that war.
Corporations and their puppet politicians learned from those times. They learned to severely limit public access to the real horrors and futility of wars. They learned that the goose will lay golden eggs longer if the public can't see the conditions the goose is working under. They learned that narrow media ownership = limited, controlled message and no real voice for those fighting the war the corporations profit from.
Give the troops some of your undivided attention. Give them that, then take it to the fools and tools who grind up those troops for profit. Watch and share to raise awareness of what is REALLY happening in this exercise in Iraq which turns blood to gold for the privileged few.
Salute the troops. Pay attention to what they are trying to tell us about the reality of war. And do your best to get the FAUX fans in your life to do the same.
Amazing stuff in the program. Amazingly courageous troops documenting for us what those in power do not want us to know.
Thank all you Vets & active duty for your service. Know many of us are working hard to assure you have the civilian leadership you deserve, leadership that will value you and be prudent with when they ask you to make sacrifices, leadership that will not squander you, our greatest strength.
