It's our fault Clinton didn't fix much of anything
during his two FULL years with a Dem congress.

Just thought I'd let you know that.

I was unaware that he and the Dems in congress were blameless for their failure to fix the media or campaign finance or election law while they were all in charge.

2. What? It's not as if our illustrious front running "centrist" candidates listen to the net-roots
and politico.com was created specifically so the M$M can use them and ignore the millions of us.

We have no representative government - we have a plutocracy. If voting isn't "Diebolded" we need to vote in Democrats who truly consider their time in Congress as SERVICE and not a springboard to a career of whoring for corporations.

Well, as little as this Democratic congress has done, I still see a lot of change for the good happening; a lot of people waking up.

7. Sorry to tell you this, but Clinton...
Had a Republican congress..since 1994.he was elected in 92 taking Bush Sr out.made pugs mad. How soon we forget, the Knewt fiasco in getting Americans to vote repub. in 93, by slamming Clinton...the pugs took over congress!! He was smart enough to work with them while putting up with their bull. Couldn't get the second part of Nafta passed which was setting the standards of gov't providing goods to America...the Pugs fought the bill and had the power to squash it. Should we say China goods , now no safeguards for out toys, food, etc.

And his pioneering of outsourced torture - that was ultra cool.

9. the problem really was that a lot of that Democratic majority
were southern conservative Democrats who, more often than not, voted with the Republicans and actively opposed Clinton's more liberal objectives. That's really why the Republicans took over the Senate starting in '94 and through 2004 - as the political realignment of the old south from Democrat to Republican took place. Now we are starting to see another shift, or maybe just a continuation - where northeastern liberal Republicans are being replaced by liberal Democrats and mountain west conservative Republicans are being voted out in favor of moderate/conservative Democrats.
