(*blabbeling: a word I made up by combining blather and babble )

interrupting the media fest Anna Nicole Smith, there has been some stories about IraQ and the non-binding resolutions, scatter in there are some stories about IraN

Public isn't buying the repubilics "reasons" for opposing the resolution, and the public does not appear to be buying the IraN is interferring with IraQ so we gotta bomb'em

so why did bush come out and blabbel about Afghanistan? Off hand I'd say it was to divert attention from Iran and Iraq.

We do know things have not progressed all that well in Afghanistan, and a "surge" by the Taliban is expected by spring.

anyone want to bet we "suddenly" find Iranian weapons in the hands of the Taliban?

1. I found it bizarre. Because he was actually admitting that's he's screwed up THAT war as well
as the one in Iraq. But what I noticed was he was blaming NATO for not sending enough troops. Hmm... I recall reading that Bush has diverted troops from Afghanistan to Iraq to achieve his glorious surge.

Is he trying to shift blame for another of his colossal failures?

4. who hasn't he blamed for his mistakes?
he's the decider, it's his failure

but I can't shake the feeling we are looking at a set up for some sort of squeeze play..

more troops into Iraq, more troops into Afghanistan, ships in the Gulf....
