SEATTLE - Senator Patty Murray and a group of doctors released a new report Thursday that estimates health care costs for our returning soldiers at $650 billion.

The Physicians for Social Responsibility, an anti-war group, put together the report. One of the researchers is a University of Washington psychiatrist who has worked extensively with injured soldiers.

Murray plans on using the report's data to reignite the debate on how much money should be spent to take care of injured vets in Seattle and around the country.

"This report should serve as a wake up for Americans and this administration. While we endlessly debate what we are gaining in Iraq, hundreds of thousands of soldiers and their families are falling victim to death, post-war trauma and lifelong struggles with mental and physical wounds as a legacy of this war. The U.S. needs to bring its troops home now,” said Dr. Evan Kanter, author of the report.

1. Ending this war is becoming an Economic requirement as the dollar devalues.
We're seeing how the wealthy are refusing to fund our soldier's healthcare not to mention the other economic problems the soldiers face.

With so many dollars going to support the war, the dollar is losing its value. History is full of stories of a king foolishly leading a country to war. Then the economic hardships the people face compels them to demand an end to that war. The Republican party will again pay in 2008 for bush's blunders. A Republican President of "stay the" curse, will be catastrophic for America.

2. Add to all that, we will also be rebuilding Iraq for the next
100 years or so. Bush has managed to destroy the cradle of civilization in 6 years, we will be paying for "George's Folly" for generations to come.

My grandchildren will probably have some kind of a surcharge on their taxes to repay the debt this man has caused.
