If it doesn't cause "organ failure or death" it can't be torture.
That is how the Bush* Administration rewrote the definition of torture. With that definition almost anything is acceptable that until 2001 was completely and totally unacceptable in America. Now apparently Bush* has Democrats trying to lable individual acts as torture instead of defining what torture really is. What we need is a comprehensive definition for torture which is in agreement with all other world nations. Let's get rid of Gonzo's definition once and for all. If it doesn't cause death it ain't torture. Only Republicans could accept such "tortured" definitions..

I mean...he never suffered organ failure and he's stillalive.

That would be my answer to any republikkan that used that lame definition

3. Read the Geneva Convention
it's a treaty that has been signed and is a part of our constitution and is such is the law of the land. I defines tortures and treatment of prisoners very clearly. When it's boundaries have been crossed it is torture and the perps have committed a federal crime. Nuf said.

with whatever the definition is, though he did refuse to elaborate. Now I know why. :mad:
