Conservative Authors Sue Publisher (priceless)
Five authors have sued the parent company of Regnery Publishing, a Washington imprint of conservative books, charging that the company deprives its writers of royalties by selling their books at a steep discount to book clubs and other organizations owned by the same parent company.

Regnery can't sell the tripe at full price so it discounts it and the hacks that wrote the crap complain.

You can't make this stuff up.

5. This idea goes all the way back to Nixon . . .
So if you can't sell right-wing ideas in books, how is it that their ideas have flooded
our MSM for decades --- ???

6. Beats the crap outta me...
Actually I am old enough to rememeber Cronkite doing CBS news and 60 minutes was very good a long long time ago. Since Raygun took office everything has become slowly RW, but I don't care for the media very much anymore. I am turning more towards blogs to get my news.....

7. "Remaindering"
I worked in the publishing business for awhile. Every writer's contract with a publisher allows the publisher to "remainder" the books that don't sell - i.e., sell the leftover stock for deep discounts, without paying royalties to the authors.

So these pricks agreed to the "remaindering" arrangement when they accepted the advance bucks.

These guys can dish it out, but they can't take it. Gutless little weasels.
