Republicans are absolutely incapable of speaking without
Edited on Thu Feb-15-07 10:47 PM by SeattleGirl
derision dripping from their voices. I'm still watching the Iraq Resolution debate, and ever time a fucking Republican stands up, they are nothing but slimey (unless they're comparing Bush to Washington and Lincoln). The gesture wildly with their arms. They make faces. In other words, they are a bunch of fucking drama queens.

And listening to them whine about the majority not giving the minority a voice, well, as many have said, they can dish it out, but they sure can't take it.

I find myself wanting to yell at the TV every time one of them stands up.

1. they wouldn't know sarcasm if it bit them in the butt
sarcasm is a fairly sophisticated form of communication.

what drips from their voices not sarcasm but derision. any 3 year old knows how to be derisive.

3. You are quite right, unblock.

2. SeattleGirl, I thought the first word in the body of your post would be
lying!

They are cynics, and believe in nothing.

4. That would work too, but I took unblock's point, and changed
sarcasm to derision.

As to not believing in anything, I think they do believe in one thing, and one thing only -- absolute power for them and others like them.

8. Yes, and being the ones to make up the rules -
but not follow them.

To insist on personal responsibility, but not for them.

To insist on personal morality, but not for them.

The party of hypocrisy.

9. The hypocrisy is what pisses me off the most about them right now.
When THEY were in power, they delighted in shutting the Dems out.

When THEY were in power, they delighted in keeping the Dems from speaking as often as they were able.

When THEY were in power, anything they did was just fine, and should be accepted without question.

But now that THEY are in the minority, they don't like those kinds of things very much.

And to that I say, "Oh, shut the fuck up!"

The party of hypocrisy, indeed!

5. They Look Drunk Tonight...
I tuned in for the shits and giggles...caught a few minutes of Steve Buyer who went on and on about how we were gonna destroy Israel with this resoultion...then there was Jerry "Hey Ladyee" Lewis going on about how brown-skined people were all set to fly airplanes into our heads and we better be scared. Both of them sounded sloshed. Lewis' was slurring his words and Buyer had to be admonished by the chair to calm down.

Just feel conforted that they are gonna lose this vote and many more in the next two years. This is a hell of a lot better than the past 12 when our side was the one who had few chances like this to speak out.

6. I guess since they can no longer be drunk with power, they have
had to resort to liquor to fortify themselves.

7. They're all a bunch of wussies too!
They are all scared shitless of "The Terrorists". They spend every waking hour cowering in fear, and snuggling up to the chimp's butt for security.

Disgusting!

10. Or they want US to continue to be scared shitless.
What I think they are really scared of is that more and more Americans are NOT scared shitless anymore. That more and more Americans have seen through the bullshit, and are PISSED, not scared.

Waaah!! Waaah!!

They're saying everything they can think of - so long as it has no relevance or substance whatsoever.

God do I hate Republicans.

17. I finally hand to change the channel, after listerning to the
really whiney woman (R-of course) from Florida. "Where is the money going to come from to arm our troops?" "Whaaaaaaaah!"

What a stupid fucking question! She thinks it's okay to approve the surge, but we haven't even adequately equipped the troops that are already there! Total fucking disconnect!

Arrrrgh!!! They make my head hurt! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

15. So true! Its even the mom and pop ones these days.
My republican co-worker heard somebody on the radio claim Bush was trying to provoke war with Iran, and he was like "Oh no! waaah!" with real derision and hate in his voice. They seriously think they are brave for supporting any plan which advocates war or violence, however stupid it really is!

20. As long as it's not their asses, or the asses of their own on the line,
it's real fucking easy to support sending more and more troops into that hell hole. They aren't supporting the TROOPS, they are support -- quite blindly -- President FuckFace. They don't give a damn about the troops. They USE them, just like Bush does.

21. You mean you HAVEN'T screamed at your TV yet?
You have my admiration for your patience...what's your secret? Decaf Lattes? Transcendental Meditation? Did you have that Gates fella' install a whiz-bang repug auto mute switch on your TV?
I have been watching too and I guarantee you my TV could likely have filed assault charges against me after just the first day!

btw did you catch our Senator Jim McDermott's 5 minutes on the floor? We are so lucky to have him as our senator! Here is that speech in case you missed it...he gave it in the very early hours of this process...
http://www.house.gov/mcdermott/sp070213.shtml

Are you aware that he has worked closely with Leuren Moret? (google her if you do not know who she is). Early on as bushco was ramping up to go into Iraq, Senator McDermott was trying to get attention drawn to the Depleted Uranium poisoning issue. He and Senator Maria Cantwell have been quite busy on this topic since the last election...(Depleted uranium poisoning is one of my biggest angers against bushco and one which I secretly hope eventually hangs them all)

Senator McDermott is very high on my very small living heroes list... I am so proud of him! He is an honest to God modern American Patriot. :patriot:
