21. Over the next couple of decades, the Constitution will *not* be rescinded...

it will just be made irrelevant due to additional legal and legislative machinations. And no one will really care or notice.

Liberals, conservatives, or anyone in between will not be rounded up into detention camps. It will not be necessary. We will have become good law-abiding citizens and the wealth of laws will distinctly and narrowly define what is acceptable in our lives.

Which is probably a good thing since most US citizens and residents will require longer hours to make 1/4 the money they made just a decade before in order to barely survive the costs of living. Those who do better will be around to tell the rest of us we're just too lazy or stupid to do well.

More people will be without health care due to the further erosion of workers' benefits; co-pays will be impossible to meet for those who have health care. We will become sicker as a society and less likely to protest. Those who have health care they can use, will fight against losing it by denying health care to others as it might negatively impact them. The availability of health care and/or health insurance will be doled out based on credit rating.

Corporate and banking interests will tighten the noose of financial control over our lives and we will now leave our debt to our children. Most of us will be in debt as it will become impossible to get out of in the company store known as the United States. One missed payment means double or triple interest rates on anything which must be bought over time. Universal default will insure it happens across the board. Decent paying jobs will be unavailable to those with low credit ratings. Housing will be almost impossible without the proper papers and credit score. Most people will find this to be a just and sane way to do business.

Public education will more noticeably become training for the worker class with some exceptions made for the overseer class. Private education will return to the environs of the ruling class; with an occasional exception to show we're still a classless society. Most schools will carry the name of their corporate benefactors.

Candidates will take vows of their adherence to Christian principles before being allowed to enter into politics.

Roe v. Wade will still be on the books; but no clinics will exist which provide abortions, doctors will not be trained in the abortion procedure, and women will once again be looking for back alleys. Women will return to the days of dying from abortions and committing suicide due to pregnancy.

Okay, I've just depressed the crap out of myself. That's enough for now.
