1. Either he is taking copious notes, or it was Cheney who put him up to it just as a dry-run.
My very first thought was...Wow, BushCo will be watching this with bated breath!

...after the levee broke in New Orleans.

4. Just like the bush, Musharraf sees himself as Lincoln and is stopping
activist judges.

"The justification was a necessity," he said. Quoting Lincoln, he said life cannot be put to risk for a limb and sometimes a limb has to be amputated to save life."

"I would like to ask the whole nation. Why? Why this state of affairs? In my opinion, it is the judicial activism - which is a pillar of states in clash with the other two pillars, the executive and the legislative. The judiciary has interfered with the other two."

Seems the steps that need to be taken to a dictatorship are always the same.

5. I just love it
when she so authoratatively and condescendingly states the obvious.

7. If the '08 election looks like anything less than a lock for Rudy
watch out. I don't think there's any way in hell Cheney and Bush will hand over the military, the Justice Department, the Iraqi oil-fields and all those WH hard-drives to a Democrat. Not without a hell of a fight, anyway. Our best hope is that the military won't sign on to a full-oon Cheney dictatorship; not exactly what the founders had in mind when they designed the American republic.

8. Honestly, I think Hillary's already agreed to let bygones be bygones

Just watch how many investigations go POOF as soon as Hillary takes the oath.

10. That's certainly what the media seems to be hoping for.
None of these unseemly constitutional crises, please; none of the scions of America's elite fascist families doing the orange-jumpsuit mambo.

11. She'll do it and she'll be hailed as a great, pragmatic leader
And any of us who protest will be painted as far-left wack-jobs.

9. Does the country have anything in place to stop this from happening here?
If BushCorp has replaced all the Army generals with ones sympathetic to their cause, it mite be easy to pull off.
