Now before you get on my case, keep in mind a policy wonk knows, well, policy. Policies are not easy to master. No one in Washington is a wonk, and thats why, in the end, their only defense is "I'm the President - I can do whatever I want."

Gore is a wonk. Kerry is a wonk. Richardson, Edwards, and Clinton are wonks (Clinton is that rare breed of hard campaigner, policy wonk that you just don't see that often.)

In the end, I can handle a Center-Left candidate that knows their shit. That's why Clinton I did so well. Of course he gutted welfare, something I still don't forgive him for. The thing about a good policy wonk is that they make sure all sides get what they need. Business may be one of those sides, but she won't leave empty handed.
