McCain "crashed and burned" but I'm now trying to give an "open mind" to Huckabee.

He's better than McCain which might be why Repugs are thinking Huckabee might be the Nominee along with Romney.

McCain...GACK! On our Health Insurance ...he crashed and burned!

2. Huckabee's a phony Christian, and a nutjob. He's a real horror show
when you get past the flowery preacher-speak and really examine him close up.

3. I watched it for a short time, missed McCain but did listen to Huckabee but
though he might seem to come off as knowledgeable and at least seems to be able to put two sentences together clearer than his boss I just cannot find it in myself to trust what any Republican says these days so I don't listen as intently to the whole of what they are saying as I once did.

What they have allowed to occurr in this country's government leaves me more than a bit enraged at them all, it leaves me bitter and unable to stomach them for long periods of time.

It's funny, some of dur's believe we should not even be listening to anything any republican has to say citing it as something akin to being a traitor. I find those comments a bit disheartening because though we have differences in this country, why do we have to remain so divided? ensuring those differences each at least get some voice is what our country should be about shouldn't it?

8. We NEED TO LISTEN to the REPUGS more than our DEMS!...IMHO
Because we need to know EXACTLY HOW REPUGS can DEFEND THE BUSHOLINI and his ENDLESS WARS...Doctrine of the DICTATOR PRESIDENCY!

Repugs have A LOT TO ANSWER FOR...and they still have a base that they WILL NEVER TRASH..unlike the DEMS who TRASH THEIR BASE..with RESOLUTIONS from the SENATE AND HOUSE LEADERSHIP!

Repugs GROOM and TEND and CARE FOR THEIR BASE...so that's why it's important to WATCH what they say and listen to all of it!

Thanks for tuning it in. A Democracy doesn't mean we only listen "To our OWN!" That's how we Dems ALWAYS GET INTO TROUBLE, imho...anyway.

9. I kind of have to disagree with your stance that the repubs have not trashed their base
as I am sure you are aware of many are not exactly happy with them right now, especially the religious base of whom they used unmercifully and then did not follow through with what they promised them they would do.

I agree with you though that we need to hear what they are saying and I do try, I just find so much of what they say to be so ridiculous and ironic and hypocritical that it just turns me off, I try, I swear I do, I mean after all I am married to one but even he cannot prove to me without a shadow of doubt that what he believes and that they say they do makes any sense at all.

The repubs might have once tried to tend and groom their base but now I think all they can do is pretty much do what they are doing which in some strange way is working which is ignoring their wishes now, not even acting all that much as if they care all that much, oh every once in a while they use the God card for effect and though they have been proven to be anything but close to godly they still have their followers but so very few.

Don't believe the media that they are even close to what they once had and for the record, I firmly believe Giuliano to get the nomination though many don't want him, we shall see but I don't think they could care less what anyone wants any longer ,they have their stronghold and come hell or high water they will not give it up and they don't need to pander any longer because they already feel they have won.

I will continue to believe though that they have overlooked one key issue and so that in the end they will not be able to steal this election once again. Not sure what card they plan to play but know this, it won't be pandering to people's needs but more to people's fears, we shall see which card they use to ensure the people remain terrified, its all they have.

10. I understand..what yuo are saying...but we can't underestimate them...even
when they seem foolish and we "think" they are "going down." Their might M$M MACHINE always manages to come through for them. Until we have a real media that presents all views...we will be open to how they manipulate and spin us. That's why sometimes I feel I need to watch them and post about it here on DU.

If we become over-confident....we can lose again. That's what I'm trying to say here. But, I understand what you say...

5. Actually, Dem or GOP, whoever's elected won't affect me personally....
I just prefer the Dem playbook, especially Edwards, though Huckabee's more likable than the other GOPpers. I'm enjoying this....thanks for the head's up :hi:

If Hillary or Obama's the nom, I'll vote for them, but I'll save my money, time and trouble and not "support" them by staying home and keeping my checkbook closed til election day.
