A hippy meets up with a republican rancher....

Hippy: Is that your Dog?
Repub: Yep
Hippy: Can I talk to him?
Repub: Dogs don't talk ya idiot.
Hippy: Hey dog, how you doing?
Dog: Pretty good actually
The Repub looks shocked

Hippy: How does he treat you:
Dog: Pretty well, walks me a lot, feeds me well. It's good

Hippy: Can I talk to your horse?
Repub: Horses can't talk!
Hippy: Hey horse, How ya doing?
Horse: Cool.
Repub is even more shocked

Finally....
Hippy: Can I talk to your sheep?
Repub; (thinks for a minute) "My sheep lie"

Were the sheep lying because the Repub was finished gettin' busy with them?

so the Republican lied about sheep lying, so the hippie wouldn't believe them.
