Armed Terror Squad Swoop On Scottish Villa

TWO suspected bombers were behind bars last night after dramatic raids by armed police on homes in Dundee and Yorkshire.

One of the men, a 31-year-old father-of-two, was arrested after explosive materials were found at a flat in Goole.

Leeds Counter Terrorist Unit then swooped on a sandstone villa in a leafy area of Dundee yesterday morning. They arrested another 31-year-old man, believed to have a connection to the Goole flat.

A police spokesman said he was detained on suspicion of the "commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism".

Last night terror experts played down links to alQaeda and a Glasgow Airport-style atrocity In June bombers struck in Scotland after a failed attack in London.

It is understood the first suspect is white and had recently split from his wife.
