Burma - Buddhism and Power
On Speaking of Faith today, there is a powerful interview with Ingrid Jordt about the goings on in Burma, and how the monks are trying to transform the country. The interview is available as an MP3 here: Burma - http://speakingoffaith.publicradio.org/programs/burma/index.shtml

There is also a video of daily life in Burma, including footage of the recent protests.

Krista Tippet should be thanked for bringing us this powerful interview.

Go Monks!

1. I was able to visit Bangkok at age 16 (1966)
I was amazed at the number of monks in their sapphron colored robes. Even then I was impressed with their piety.
