I believe we need a strong presence in Iraq
No, not corporate, not military and not crony capitalists. New Deal educated Keynesians. A fleet of them.

I just hit page 358 in Naomi Klein's book, The Shock Doctrine where she is discussing the case of Custer Battles corruption case and the issue of lawlessness. I think my head just exploded.

How fucking dare we sit back and allow this????

For those of you who may be on the fence about impeachment, this historical look at neo-con-ism is the most important book written in this decade. She doesn't make the case for that (with 100 pages to go, I am assuming), but presents the historical story that will positively blow your minds about its roots.
