Edited on Fri Nov-02-07 08:52 PM by Labors of Hercules
If Gore enters the Presidential Race, what do you think is the most likely scenario?

7. I doubt he'll run.
And I can't say I blame him. Gore's pretty much decided he can get more accomplished as a private citizen, writing books, making movies, promoting environmentalist causes like fighting global warming, and getting the word out. As a private citizen, he doesn't have to shill for money, he'll owe no favors, and he'll be free in a way he could never be while he's President, Vice President, Senator or candidate for the above.

9. Al has become too identified with a single issue.
His work on global warming may be well known, but I'm not sure if many people know where he stands on other issues. I really can't see him abandoning what seems to have become his mission to get back into the dirty world of national politics. Please don't post links to Al's policy statements or positions, the general electorate isn't going to go look them up! If Gore wanted to run he would have to get out and campaign. I just don't see it happening.

12. What do you think....
Do you think Democratic voters who have not followed his accomplishments over the past year will be swayed to vote for him if he announces?

14. That's pretty much what I hear from other people
I think a lot of people see Gore as another Carter. Pres Carter has his mission in life and his Nobel prize and had his chance at the White House. Much the same as Mondale, he had his shot and was considered a statesman.

I could be wrong though, after all Nixon made a come back. But as I remember Nixon worked pretty hard at running for the office.

15. He sounded to me like....
He was disgusted at the whole political system and wanted nothing to do with it.
