USAF Struck Syrian Nuclear Site!!!---Sept. 6 mystery attack.
The September 6 raid over Syria was carried out by the US Air Force, the Al-Jazeera Web site reported Friday. The Web site quoted Israeli and Arab sources as saying that two US jets armed with tactical nuclear weapons carried out an attack on a suspected nuclear site under construction.

The sources were quoted as saying that Israeli F-15 and F-16 jets provided cover for the US planes.

The sources added that each US plane carried one tactical nuclear weapon and that the site was hit by one bomb and was totally destroyed.

At the beginning of October, Israel's military censor began to allow the local media to report on the raid without attributing their report to foreign sources. Nevertheless, details of the strike have remained clouded in mystery.

7. I would hope you are right.
But, this story has always been strange and it just gets stranger. The first word that a bomb had been dropped at all was dismissed.

9. Yes, of course
It's a smoke screen story, and one I don't care for one bit.

Why in the hell are they trying to say that the U.S. nuked Syria?

21. How public has this story been?
It's the first I've heard of it, but considering the fact that it's total BS I'm not surprised about that.

Has it had any real media coverage yet?

34. Yes, but I never read it on Al Jazeera
I don't read the Jerusalem Post as a rule, but I do read Al Jazeera and I missed it there.

I don't know, perhaps it wasn't in their english version? I suppose that might explain it.

At any rate, has it gotten any US coverage yet that I've missed?

This story has never made since and has changed a lot on all accounts of it. I genuinely would like to know why it is not possible for the US to have been used in the attack.

10. If you read the comments on this article at Common Dreams
it gets a thorough de-bunking, fort multiple reasons.

Chief of which being:

1. A nuclear blast, even low yield, would have been detected by people unwilling to hush it up

2. The Syrians would be enraged and insisting upon a testing of the residual isotopes, which can be traced back to specific sources

3. They have been working quickly to cover the site with dirt...something highly unlikely in the "radiation rich" environment you would find there.

Yes, it would be unreasonable of them to object to being bombarded with nuclear weaponry.

23. I'm not buying it.
Somebody on the international stage would've noticed a nuclear explosion, and they would be sounding the alarm about it, not a newspaper.

That aside, I don't understand why we'd do the bombing, nor why a tactical nuke would be used. As I understand it, the site wasn't even fully constructed. Normal bombs would've done the job.
