Proof positive Pelosi is valuable to ...the REPUBLICANS!

When Robert Novak calls her the 'Most powerful Speaker in the last 50 years!" you smell a stench. He goes on toe say she is a 'Committee of One" that nothing moves unless she says so and on and on. Why would the 'Unofficial Flack' say such things?

Because the Republicans want her kept right where she is. They do that because you manipulate with simple reverse psychology. Attack the weakest opponent and the enemy will rally behind that person, even if it is to their own detriment...and rallying behind Pelosi is definitely a detriment to Democratic goals.

So this time Democrats should smile sweetly at that treasonous, traitorous Berlin Bob, and say thank Robert, we are removing Pelosi.

1. I heard her interviewed on NPR yesterday and thought she did
a decent job. I don't agree with her tactics but also don't see her as a bush toady either.

10. If you know what Pravda is and yet continue to listen to it what does that say about you?
"Why should I waste my beautiful mind?"

13. Its says I realize the media has an agenda, and I am tracking it out of self-defense...
You would rather pretend these creeps aren't there and aren't doing their best to sabotage us?
Ignoring them when they control the corporate media is not a good strategy.

6. you missed the point...
The Republicans 'smear machine' attacks Clinton the most severely and the most often becuase they think she is the Democratic candidate most easily challenged, and by attacking her they will cause Democrats to rally around her and thus give her the nomination. I find it sometimes incredible how many Democrats exist that are so easily manipulated, there are...and no few general elections in the past are proof of it!

8. The Problem is not Pelosi---The Problem is DLC/Blue Dogs
who will always provide the GOP with enough votes or support
to help them win in House and Senate.

We do not have Imperial Leaders. Our Democratic Leaders are
only as strong as the Party . A divided party is not the strongest.

There are always enough Blue Dogs/DLC to stop Impeachment. Tjeu
will never vote to De-Fund the War. Pelosi knows this.

We have 2parties within a party. This is the problem.
Sure it easy to attack Pelosi. Put anyone else in chargd
and they face the same problem.

11. How many of you are willing to say--ALL DEMOCRATS
Must VOTE IN LOCKSTEP???

No Pelosi is not a Sam Rayburn, O"NEil .

In those days we had a majority of Liberals and the BLUE DOGs
were in minority. Many of those Dems became Republicans.

After the DLC, we have elected more and more Republican
Light. It is designed that way

Nancy faces different circumstances than did TIP etc.

As a liberal, I find it disheartening but the reality
is DLC rules.

12. Rayburn and later Johnson had MORE of DLC, but they were called...
Rayburn and Johnson had just as large a number of 'Dixiecrats' as Pelosi has of DLC, and I can assure you that bunch was far more politcaly savvy and corrupt that todays DLC. No, Pelosis' failings are in her SKILLS, she has no knowledge of, or no apptitude for, the back room armtwisting, extortionate double dealings that are necesary for effective pushing of agendas at the Congressional level. Decry all you want such things...praise Pelosi for her virtue in not having such skills...but in the end those skills are what are necessary to about any political agenda.

Want impeachement? Want to end the Iraq war? Wnat to prevent the Iran war? Wnat SCHIP fully funded? Want highways repaired? Want better schools? Cleaner running cars? More regulation of bankers and pension fund managers? Then you will need to use the tactics I described.
