Comey, Goldsmith, Ashcroft send a letter to Leahy encouraging telecom immunity
John Ashcroft Encourages Immunity for Telecom Companies, Paid By Telecom Companies
by: Matt Stoller
Wed Oct 31, 2007 at 16:26:08 PM EDT

Here's a letter http://www.mydd.com/images/admin/10_29_07_Ashcroft__Goldsmith__Comey_and_Philbin_to_PJL.pdf
from John Ashcroft, James Comey, Jeff Goldsmith and Phil Philben.

For all of these reasons, we encourage the Committee to approve the carrier immunity provision as a fair, just, and equitable result that properly promotes a policy of encouraging the private sector to cooperate with the intelligence community.
