This is an answer to Representative Harmon's diary http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2007/10/31/10182/509 on Kos, but I think it could be sent to several of our Representatives - don't you?

You see, we think George Bush is a criminal.

While evidently you don't.

And we don't think that our Representatives and Senators should aid and abet criminals.

Even if they are President.

I know also, that you think this is about politics and votes.

We don't. We think it is about our Constitutional Rights....that you are sworn to uphold. We tend to think that you should do everything in your power.....which you aren't.....to preserve our Rights.

3. We're not blinded by
cushy government jobs that are supplemented by corporate lobbyists, either.

Some of those politicians inside the infamous beltway forget who "voted" them into office..it's like "See Ya". Thing about reps, though, is they have to be elected every two years so the memory doesn't have to be soooo long.

17. Agreed
Actually anyone that isn't convinced of Feinstein's DLC pro-business-screw the poor schtick should check out Jello Biafra's "I blow minds for a living." Way back during Biafra's DK days he ran against her for Mayor of San Francisco.

Needless to say she is a friggin Dino who needs to be put out of office. A primary challenge would be really good about now.

18. Assuming she runs again. She'll be 77 in 2010.
If she does, we need to scare up a primary opponent or three.

Never thought of it that way before, in those terms, but I shall use it frequently now!

Thanks for posting. K&R

8. Allowing bush to continue his madness is itself criminal.
The Constitution requires impeachment for a situation like this. Come on, we managed to do it to Clinton without all this fuss, and he (a) had not committed "high crimes and misdemeanors," as bush most certainly has, and (b) had a 70% approval rating the day he was impeached, unlike bush's anemic 24% cadre of crazies.

Let's go!

6. Rep. Harman's reply is apparently up at the link as well --

What rubbish! For those like me who insist that the President’s domestic surveillance program must comply fully with the Constitution and the 4th Amendment, the only way for Congress to get there is with a veto-proof majority. That's why I'm working with Republicans. Got a better idea?

I opposed the FISA-gutting Protect America Act last August and supported the much-improved H.R. 3773, which did not include retroactive immunity for telecommunications companies. I call on the White House to do more than share selected documents with a handful of Senators – how do we know what the White House is not providing? In my view, the question of retroactive immunity cannot even be considered until Congress is fully informed about what happened and under what authority.

12. No fucking joke!
We, at our house, say this all the time... This is something that amazes me.

I am pissed off at our representetives and my fellow Democrats seem to want me to stfu. Just be nice because impeachment is such a hassle and regualr "bidnus" can not be done if we are upholding the law.

fuck that shit.

Impeach the fuckers now, no yesterday.

IMPEACHMENT of Cheney/Bush is what Dems should be working on.

Hillary went off on this as well the other night in the debates, suggesting that there should be a panel -- bipartisan -- to move the future of Social Security -- !!!!

No thanks Hillary -- !!!!
