Any Duers in New York City?
The Freedom Toast is putting on their live Political Idol show at
the Triad at 72nd and Broadway starting tonight (9 PM??), and if
any DUer has a chance to see it, I'd appreciate a comment on how it is.
I had a hand in writing some of the stuff, and would be interested
in knowing how it was received.

Note to any lurkers from the extremist right..do not see this show
if you have high blood pressure. You might end up spending the night
in some cardiac ward.

2. How boring! They certainly went apeshit over the Home On The Range video
That got TFT more hate mail than the songs on their CDs combined.

I even saw one go wild over the scene where Falwell morphs into a "Taliban"
(it wasn't: it was Nasrallah, a Lebanese Shi'ite, and not a Sunni Taliban,
but Freepers probably think that "A Boy Named Sue" is about a juvenile who
is fond of aggressive litigation).

6. Follow up:
I just heard from some people who were there. This includes my sister,
who is a professional singer and a brutal critic of EVERYTHING. She said
that it was BRILLIANT, people were convulsed with laughter, and that the
talent of the singers/actors was absolutely phenomenal. I have not seen the
show in its current form (Skinner/EarlG please note--total evolution since
you saw it in Washington), but after the reviews I have heard, I'm making
a special trip over to the USA for a couple of days just to see it. Hey, if
you can't treat yourself once in a while, life ain't worth living, right?

PS--I heard that a couple of the campaigns were going to be attending next
week (Edwards & OBama people? not sure which). You'll be in good company if you go!
