Would you have yourselves subjected to waterboarding (and to other things we do to others that you say does not constitute torture) before you blather on that it is not torture. Its kind of a journalistic thing and would add some substance to your claims that the aforementioned does not constitute torture. But since you all are cowardly chickenhawks who have testicles for no apparent reason my request will never be granted.

But an easier question for you: If its not torture, why do we do it? Oh If I only had conservative values everything would be crystal clear.

I'll jump in here because I've actually done it. Although there are in reality several methods, I did the 'Drip.' No doubt it's torture, or the training wouldn't have been offered.

I had the distinct advantage though of knowing the guys doing it to me wouldn't kill me. But my nose bled on and off for days.

Ironically, the whole reason the training was there is that the US is one of the very few countries left that even attempts to treat detainees properly, but most of our enemies are wont to do this sort of thing.

Any hypothetical freeper/pundit taking this challenge would doubtless INSIST on guarantees of revival and physical safety -- in fact, the whole point (i.e., establishing firsthand whether it is torturous) is pretty much lost in the case of fatality.

The actual "detainee" has no assurance that his/her death will not be considered an acceptable outcome to the interrogators. It's a completely different mental paradigm, at the very least.
