1. Anyone who claims waterboarding isn't torture needs to be
waterboarded until they change their mind.

Of course the people that say this are the same that support a clown who thought that branding was just a harmless fratboy prank.

Waterboarding, when used against people captured in the context of war, may also amount to a war crime as defined under the federal war crimes statute 18 U.S.C. § 2441, which criminalizes grave breaches of the Geneva Conventions (in international armed conflicts), and violations of Article 3 common to the four Geneva Conventions (in non-international armed conflicts). Waterboarding is also an assault, and thus violates the federal assault statute, 18 U.S.C. § 113, when it occurs in the “special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States,” a jurisdictional area which includes government installations overseas. In cases involving the U.S. armed forces, waterboarding also amounts to assault, and cruelty and maltreatment under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

21. OK - Bennett, Guiliani and Mukasey. National TV. Show us personally it's not turture
Hey we'll even let you say "When" and we'll stop which our government sanctioned torturers wont. I'll bet none of ya last more than 10 seconds before pissing your pants and screaming for it to stop. There's a reason that waterboarding has been considered torture for years. Heck ask John McCain!

Rant off. Jeez this pisses me off. These fucking NeoCons have made US the despot of the world and they're proud of it. I want my country back!

22. This is the same Bill Bennett that said...
Edited on Tue Oct-30-07 04:24 PM by AnneD
beheading as punishment for drugs crimes was morally ok (drug Czar under GHWB)...

the same guy that was a high stakes gambler that lost millions (while publishing a book of virtues and belonging to an organization that opposed gambeling)...

Espouses vouchers (private schools, wants to hold teacher accountable for what students learn, allow non trained teachers to teach, do away with the most experienced teachers by dropping tenure (basically gutting public education)....

Head of PNAC and urged removal of SH....

That hypocrite mouth piece.....

25. I dare say he'd object if someone did it to HIM, or to his family...
if the police showed up at his door and said they were investigating a gambling ring, I wonder if he'd mind if they waterboarded him for a few days to see if he'd confess to something? Or if they did that to a family member?

27. How did we get to this point?
I used to know of a country that professed to be against police state tactics. And yet, here we are, having a serious discussion about what is and isn't torture, with lunatic fucknuts spouting gibberish on broadcasts and being listened to as if they're making even a lick of sense.

The gratuitous dictatorship can't come too soon for me. And Bill Bennett should know that dim-bulbed slot jockeys will not fare very well when I'm running things. Watch the porky little fucker run.
