The next major presidential debate is coming up soon: Tuesday, October 30, and we're planning a nationwide house party to watch the presidential debate on NBC News and MSNBC.

Please host a house party, cheer for Dennis, and then join us on a conference call with Dennis. Here's what we've got planned:

Join Dennis Live After the Debate
Directly after the debate, Dennis will join a special conference call to speak directly with you about the debate. This will give you an exclusive chance to listen to Dennis firsthand. Dennis will calling from the floor of the Debate live from Philadelphia. Once you sign up to host or attend a Debate Party, you will be given the conference call information.

Ask Dennis A Question
If you have a specific question that you'd like to ask Dennis, email us. Of all of the questions, we will select a few questions which Dennis will answer live over the phone. Email your submissions to houseparties@kucinich.us with the subject line "Oct. 30 Question" and we may pick yours.

Spice it up - Make it a Halloween Party
October 30 is not just the night of the debate, though. It's also the night before Halloween. If you'd like, you can turn your Halloween party into a Dennis Kucinich Debate Watching Party. For example, you could tell everyone to come dressed as their favorite historical figure. Make some suggestions on what theme you'd like to have at your Dennis Kucinich Halloween Party, and we'll post your ideas on the website for others to see. Send your ideas to houseparties@kucinich.us

Share Your Experience With Us
This house party is going be a fun experience for all of us, and we want to see how fun it was for you. Please take lots of pictures on your digital camera and send them to us. We will post some of your pictures from the house party on our website.

Please, join us on Tuesday, October 30 for a national house party to watch the presidential debates on MSNBC. We'll give you everything you need to host a house party.

If you have any questions about what house parties are or how to host one, please email houseparties@kucinich.us or call 202-454-5206.

Thank you,
Dennis for President Team

4. AND...Will Chris Dodd, Joe Biden, Bill Richardson and Dennis Kucinich
get any speaking time?

The MSM is already billing this as an Obama/Clinton debate (I'll throw John Edwards in there since he rounds out The Big Three).

I hope Dodd keeps a debate timer again so we can see.

Also, who will do the 'attacking'? Will it actually be another candidate, or will Russert attempt to 'bait' people into attacking eachother?

:hi:

7. Edwards has been saying some pointed things about Clinton's associates
lately - so my guess is he'll expand that approach tonight.

15. He didn't need Russert egg him on when he was saying those things, so I'm thinking
he'll take this opportunity to get it out there for the masses to hear.

Is this the last debate before Iowa?

11. All Im hearing about on MSNBC, is that he is going to go on the assault himself.
So if he doesnt, his campaign could be over tonight. So I expect him to go after her pretty well.

12. Okay, here's the rub..
is his campaign saying he'll attack or his the HC campaign and the MSM saying he'll attack? I'm not trying to be painful, but is Obama being set up?

13. A New York Times article talks about what Obama's campaign has said he will do
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/28/us/politics/28obama.html

"Senator Barack Obama said he would start confronting Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton more directly and forcefully, saying Friday that she had not been candid in describing her views on critical policy issues, as he tries to address mounting alarm among supporters that his lack of assertiveness so far has allowed her to dominate the presidential race.

Mr. Obama’s vow to go on the offensive comes just over two months before the first votes are cast for the Democratic nomination, and after a long period in which his aides, donors and other supporters have battled — and in some cases shared — the perception that he has not exhibited the aggressiveness demanded by presidential politics.

In an interview on Friday that was initiated by his campaign to signal the change of course, Mr. Obama said “now is the time” for him to distinguish himself from Mrs. Clinton. While he said that he was not out to “kneecap the front-runner, because I don’t think that’s what the country is looking for,” he said she was deliberately obscuring her positions for political gain and was less likely than he was to win back the White House for Democrats.

Asked in the interview on Friday if Mrs. Clinton had been fully truthful with voters about what she would do as president, Mr. Obama replied, “No.”
