I was in a meeting yesterday, when one of the colonels said something to the effect of: "Soldiers returning from Iraq with potential PTSD issues will now be refered to as 'Partly Cloudy'."
6. it's actually very different than a personality disorder- it would be
difficult to avoid covering someone for PTSD- or to say they had a pre-existing condition for it like they seem to be doing to many Vets in order to avoid any financial responsibility- :nuke:
As for the 'partly cloudy' shit- they can label it anything they like- that doesn't change the very real, life altering effect of this disorder. It doesn't even make any sense. "partly cloudy"??? what does that have to do with anything?? Doesn't match letter-wise- doesn't have any connotative connection I can see?
10. The personality disorder walkaround for PTSD diagnosis
is /was used to discharge returning Iraqi soldiers under dishonorable conditions. After that discovering, this "partly cloudy" seems to be a shuffling of terms to obtain same results.
