With campaigning for another presidential election already under way, Phillips hopes that his book will help bring about reforms that will make future elections fraud-proof.

"Now that I know how easy it is to rig an election," he said, pausing for a long moment to collect his emotions, "I wonder, what's the point? We need paper ballots, counted by hand, in full public view at the polling place on election night, no matter how long it takes. Nothing less will restore public confidence in the vote count."

Whatever happens, Phillips said he doesn't plan to investigate the next election.

"It was just traumatic. I don't want to do this again," he said. "The trauma of photographing so many altered ballots -- each of which represented a person who only tried to exercise his or her most basic and fundamental right in what passes for a democracy, and were denied."

5. Every uncounted or flipped vote represents
either someone whose voice was silenced, or actually reversed to add an extra fraudulent vote to the other side.

It's a deep wound, a trauma on the body of elected government.

9. Here's a telling paragraph from article
"The lawsuit was unsuccessful, and the Ohio Secretary of State, Kenneth Blackwell (who is now running for governor), filed a motion seeking sanctions against the attorneys for the contestors for filing a meritless complaint 'only for partisan political purposes.'"

Ugh. Double Ugh.
