1. I can't begin to describe in how high a regard I hold this woman.
"I loved my job."

"My neighbors had no idea what did for a living."

**Everyone** I know talks about what they do. For many people, their job is a large part of their very Id. But with her, she did it because it was needed and it was the **right** thing to do. She is, in my view, the very definition of a patriot.

2. That was great!
She and Mr. Matthews were great. David Shuster's report that started the segment was intense, as well.

4. He has been
one of the Wilsons' biggest supporters since Rove called in in the summer of 2003. He was the first to call and warn Joe about Rove identifying Valerie as "fair game" -- which is why Valerie smiled when Chris said he liked the title of her book. Both Joe and Valerie's books pay tribute to Mr. Matthews.

More, as Corn & Isikoff note in their book "Hubris," the OVP tried to crush Mr. Matthews for his reporting on the Iraq war/Plame scandal.

I know that some DUers don't like him because of other things. But I am admittedly focused on the Plame scandal, and am grateful for his reporting (both on and off camera). I also know some of the attacks on Matthews on the internet are from sources who are closer to Cheney than to Plame.

6. I don't care for his yelling and interrupting, or his style in general,
but his vocal support of Valerie Plame is music to my ears.

8. You're right H20 Man! It is a joy to watch, finally, Chris coming ...
around, and stating, our way of thinking about the Plame affair! Hopefully, he will continue into the election cycle on our side, although, as he is known as loving Mr. Codpiece, he has some of us very sceptical as to his motivations!

5. She is great, but for crying out loud...
Edited on Thu Oct-25-07 06:53 PM by slor
why can't people mention that Joe Wilson was NOT the only one sent to verify the Saddam/Yellowcake connection. Hell, one was a high ranking Marine, and all 3 came back with the same story. There was no connection.

On Edit: the Marine was Marine Gen. Carlton W. Fulford Jr.

About the other people who came back with the same conclusions of Joe.

Wasn't one our Niger ambassador as well? Some position like that.
