Poll question: If President Cheney Bombs Iran, will Hillary's Iran Vote Cost Her Iowa? (POLL)
Edited on Thu Oct-25-07 05:50 PM by Dems Will Win
If Cheney bombs Iran and uses the notorious Kyl-Lieberman resolution -- saying the Iranian Revolutionary Guards are Terrorists -- as justification, will Hillary's terrible judgement be exposed -- WILL SHE LOSE IOWA AS A RESULT TO OBAMA OR EDWARDS?

I guess she really does trust President Cheney, or she would not have taken this awful chance just to go into general election mode and tristrangulate.

3. If anything, it would help her.
Most people are frankly not going to believe that K-L is a vote for war; it clearly and obviously is not. However, a bombing of Iran would cause a massive groundswell of centrist and center-right opposition to President Bush. Since Hillary is the presumptive frontrunner at the moment, the newfound Democratic support would largely shift to her, simply because people would be most concerned with undoing the Bush legacy than they would with Hillary's vote for sanctions.

Suggesting that people will blame Hillary for Bush acting in an insane manner smacks of desperation. Outside of the netroots, nobody really thinks she's a right-winger or a warmonger.

5. I agree
I think people will blame Bush/Cheney, not Senator Clinton. She could also use their actions as an even bigger hammer to get rid of the Republicans. I think people of Iowa will think of her as the strongest person to take over the Presidency.

4. I think Madam Clinton will skate on that vote
Which is quite unfortunate. On the other hand, if there are that many people who secretly enjoy world war, who am I to stop them?

7. Her NEXT vote authorizing war with Iran will hurt her in Iowa.
I don't think they are through handing more war powers over. We have a few months to go, and the way the macho-war talk from dickie, condi and chimpy is growing, I think another vote will come along. It may be an Iran War Resolution, based on flimsy evidence of WMDs and involvement in Iraq.

13. LOL!
Yes, of course. Cheney is in league with the Clintons and just dying to see her elected president.

12. Frankly I see Hilarity as a Neo-con in Dem clothes...
She isn't the same Clinton that was in the White House with her husband. She has radically changed.

Cheers
Sandy
