I wonder how one of our good writers, like Will Pitt or our beloved Plaid Adder would present this idea.

I have always felt that a good way of dealing with ol’ Snarky is to embrace him. Remember on the playground if some kid called you a name and the best way to deal with it was to make them think that you enjoyed having the handle? It resulted in their not getting the reaction they intended, dropping the name-calling ball, and going on to some other entertainment.

Maybe that is what we should do with the word “democrat”. I’m saying we should embrace it. If we mean “democratic” we say “democrat”. You know, the old “say it loud and say it proud” deal. We could even say it like we were mocking Billy Bob and his ignorant use of the language. That way they will have to come up with something else to irritate us.

Those of us who are black should do the same with the confederate flag. Let that rag symbolize our path to equality. Let it stand for our fight. What would irritate Billy Bob more than our flying the stars and bars like it was our flag. Can you imagine a black civil rights march where we carry the flag that represents the south good, bad, and indifferent?

Yeppers, I wonder how a good writer could put that. Then, again, that ol’ cuss may just say “shucks” and let it go at that.

15. This morning on local AM talk radio in Omaha, I heard the host interviewing Bob Kerrey

about why he wasn't running for the Senate, and the host asked him: "What is going on with the DEMOCRAT party in Nebraska that they can't field another candidate besides you?" This asshole maybe wasn't even aware that he was slighting Kerrey's party, or he was aware, and knew Kerrey would let him get away with it and wouldn't correct him, which Kerrey didn't. Nope, when someone uses the word "Democrat Party" instead of "DemocratIC", I know immediately where that person's mentality and political leanings are--it's code for "Look at me! I'm a juvenile assclown!"

You could have, for instance, a party called the "Taxpayer Party". English allows nouns to be used as adjectives.

See a site for those learning English for examples: vegetable soup, magazine article etc.

But the name of the party is "the Democratic Party", so that's what should be used.

25. It's no more correct than

the Republic party. I feel slighted by the use of 'Democrat Party' because whom ever uses it that way, doesn't have enough respect to finish the last syllable. It is confusing because we are Democrats not Democratics. In the same vein, they are Republicans not Republics. I will use Republikan or Republik as often as I can, as my own protest, against the rudeness and disrespect heaped on us at every turn by the President and his pundit puppets. They would see our party eliminated and have a One Party System if they could make us completely irrelevant. Don't ever underestimate the absolute hatred they have of us and our Party. Why do they hate America?
