Winterizing the car. Chinese cheap parts or not?
I'm doing a re-build on a Chrysler 2004 brake system. I think it's unconscionable corporations try to push cheap poisonous fucked-up chinese crap.
For my part, I refuse. That shit don't go here.
This is your brake system on your car, very integral to keeping your family alive.
Auto parts made in Canada/USA good and very high quality/price. Then cheap garbage dangerous poisonous Chinese stuff.

2. Aren't parts like brake shoes and pads remanufactured here?
Things like that probably can't efficiently be rebuilt outside North America. So I'm imagining that by using rebuilt brake pads you'll be safe. You might want to ask the clerk if you can see the box and see if it has any country of origin on it.

And if they have Chinese auto parts, bitch at them and leave for another store.

3. Hell yeah
And we get a lot of parts from Canada too. I rebuilt a Dodge Daytona engine (2.2) from Canadian parts. Great price and all of the parts worked well.

4. About a year ago my husband spent $1,000 on scaffolding
that was made in China. It was the only brand available. He stored it outside and even before he used it for the first time, it showed signs of rust. We discovered that although it was painted, it wasn't primed. Same thing with a couple of lawn chairs I bought on sale: painted but not primed and peeling already. China cuts corners on everything. I'd avoid brake parts if at all possible.
