Censure Me....
I was thinking about ways to show solidarity for Pete Stark and to show how truly SIGNIFICANT he is to us who are against the shits in the WH who find it amusing to send kids into war zones. Send something like this to everyone around?

Dear (Senator, Editor, Rep, etc)

The recent actions forcing Pete Stark to apologize and grovel for a statement made in frustration are reprehensible and pathetic. They show the true colors of our congress which seeks only to sustain it's own power and not do that which is noble or true.

Pete Stark's statement are part of a growing frustration this country has with the war, congressional ineptitude, special interest pandering, and lack of spine. Why does Congress see fit to waste our government's time and resources censuring those who seek to stop this senseless and useless war. We will not be silenced.

Meanwhile a man sits in the Whitehouse who deserves far more than censure, far more than removal from office.

Congress can not ignore the American people forever. A fire is growing in the heart of America. Each time you ignore this fire you send a spark into its heart making it grow and spread.

In this I say emphatically that I stand with Pete Stark and proclaim:

"You don’t have money to fund the war or children. But you’re going to spend it to blow up innocent people if we can get enough kids to grow old enough for you to send to Iraq to get their heads blown off for the president’s amusement."

Censure Me

Todd A.F.

Anti-war advocate.
Pete Stark supporter.

4. Support Stark? He backed down, why would you want to
support him? Nobody "forced" him to say anything.

7. if I knew that, you can be sure I wouldn't keep it a secret-
All I know is that people buckle under without fail when something like this goes on.

Can you think of any situation that someone hasn't been brought to their knees?

8. He was given a national, make that worlwide audience with that
speech. If he was truly forced, he could have given hows and whys of it in front of everyone. It would have blown up the threatener's faces, and been an enormous story that would have relentlessly pursued the perpetrators. The idea that for years and years there have been forceful conversions of people in office is laughable. Tom Daschle no longer is running for anything, if he knew of it wouldn't he speak up now? How about Durbin, wouldn't he make a fortune with a tell all book?

10. He was given an audience in which he said:...
"I hope that with this apology I will become as insignificant as I should..."

That is not just an apology.

That is an admission of being near worthless.

Would someone willingly declare themselves insignificant? Having little meaning? The guy is a high ranking government official.

12. All that means is that he does not want to be
the center of the controversy anymore. Are all the other Congressional Dems in on this too?
