* is one seriously out of touch dude.
That press conference was painful. Out of touch, arrogant and a little nuts.

Sad state of affairs. :(

5. He said he was "conscience" of who is listening to him
Edited on Wed Feb-14-07 12:28 PM by solara
He told the Iranians that their leader is isolating them from the world with his policies ( I was hoping the press would point out that he was doing the same thing), he seemed a little hurt that the "non-binding" resolution against the war was still going forward, he declined to discuss the Libby trial, he babbled on about his decision for a surge .. He said he was certain that the Iranian KUDS or CUDS were providing bad weapons to the insurgents.. a lot of deja vu regarding those bad bad Iranians.... just like with those bad bad Iraqis ( edited for typos)

8. He frequently referred to the fact that the Senate unanimously voted
in favor of General Petraeus. Said it was contradictory to be voting on nonbinding resolution in light of the vote in favor of Petraeus. Pretty much acceded that resolution would pass. Hoped the nonbinding resolution would not lead to a binding one which would undermine the troops. He repeatedly used "gonna support the troops, whatever it takes." Ominous references to Iran, as in "we know the Quds (sp) are part of the Iranian gov, but we don't know if the top level in Iran is behind it." When pressed would not back off Iran--"gonna support the troops, whatever it takes." Will not dialogue with Iran until they show drawdown of nuclear weapons. Disagrees with John Bolton's assessment of N. Korea deal.

Smirked a lot.......Made me loathe him more it that's possible.

9. Oh yeah and "Money trumps peace." Reference to the fact that some
of our allies do business with Iran.

4. He was clearly unsuccessful in describing the planet he lives on.
He's totally in some surrealistic Disneyland where cause and effect have an entirely different relationship.

10. bubble boy. When he went to europe a few years ago and then had a stop
in Thailand-i think it was Thailand there were hundreds of thousands of protesters-of course and a he said to a reporter from Reuters-"Wow they really don't like me" and the Reuters person said Bush seemed genuinely surprised by that. Thats what happens when you're in a place that doesn't hide the protesters or put them in a free speech zone.
