Having a blizzard in March is not Weird. Next we will be hearing that Milwaukee is having a hurricane. It too is off of Lake Michigan. Now that would be weird.
2. It is called "secondary tornado season," and this watch extends from Chicago all the way to the Gulf
of Mexico.
One of the worst tornados around in the fall was at Xmas time 2000 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I remember that one well, as I was giving a final that day for History 101 at the University of Alabama and got the finals in my bookbag when the sirens went off and took them and my dog down to my basement! There were 17 people killed just outside the city that day.
