Please check in here if your family is directly effected by SCHIP-
mine is.

My youngest son is on it.
It is the only insurance he can get. (I have none- can get none, pre-existing conditions)
Unless his older brother becomes is legal guardian and adds him to his insurance.

Are there any others out there who don't mind sharing this?

thanks~

3. thanks-
I thought that we weren't as unusual as it appears.

Maybe it is something people would rather not mention- I've been in far more desperate situations.

and will probably be there again before long-

I appreciate the feedback.

 to your friend-

and thanks again.

2. My boyfriend's grandson.....
...........the father has custody, works.....but doesn't have insurance. He is paying childsupport for his children from his first marriage (so he is doing the right thing) and pretty much lives of about 140 bucks per week (his take home pay after childsupport and taxes). So, grandson can't get it, because father makes 25 bucks too much for Medicaid and about 10 bucks too much for Schip (they do not take into consideration the childsupport - all they consider is his gross income not what he actually gets to keep. It's ridiculous....

6. there are a lot of us out here-
at least in my outernet life.

I wish society didn't allow money to be so divisive.
Most people I know work very hard, regardless of how many didgits are on the paycheck at the end of the week.

thanks for your response-

peace~

7. And I despise the President for vetoing it and every
one who voted against overriding it

If there is hell, they will have a special place in there

9. My lovely next door neighbors are selling their home to cover their grandson's
healthcare--he's my son's best friend.

So yes, I consider us very directly affected by this. Very, very much so.

Jim Marshall?? You know...one of the two complete and utter fucking asshole "D's" to vote against the override.
