OMGs, the guest on the Daily Show is such a moron!
Edited on Tue Feb-13-07 11:34 PM by booley
Guy who wrote the Politically Incorrect guide ot Global Warming (yeah, I think we know how accurate that series has been) is talking to John Stewert, who I hate to say it was way to concilliatary to the guy.

And he he pretty much spreads the usual crap in the first 30 seconds..

Scientists are wrong about climate change because some were wrong about global cooling.

There's no reason to beleive that pollution could change the climate (and so it must be like a crazy religion)

and Environmentalists all want to destroy capitalism.

Oh yeah, and the Green party is like the Nazi party.

Oh well, only con idiots are going to buy this book so they can parrot the talking points.

Some enterprising Liberal could start a series just to point outhe errors and lies in the Politically Incorrect books. (hint hint)

1. He's insane, I can't believe this type of guy advises government officials in any capacity...
I mean, seriously, a Communist conspiracy? These people are crazy.

3. Well insane means he fits right in
Not to mention his purpose is to provide the talking points for the cons.

Those points dont' have to make sense. They just have to have snappy come backs.

6. I know, but these guys really need a new talking point, but seriously, Communists?
What year is this, 1975?

Talk about STALE!!!!

These guys never left the mentality of the Cold War, hell, half the time, just listening to them, you would think we were still in the middle of it. The thing that kills me is that the AEI is considered REPUTABLE at all, honestly, all of them are practically insane, they seem to have all the symptoms of paranoid schizophrenics.

13. I didn't see this program
But I think there must be Cold War nostalgia going around.

I still can't believe the little politburo and Stalin apologist brigade we had running around here earlier this week.

8. Right, their responses...
... just need to have an air of truthiness.

12. I turned it off when he talked about some "wealth-alleviation" seminar and how it's a worse crime to
clear-cut a forest than sell a six year old child into slavery. Basically, all he did is say that Greens around the world are all communists, and that "WE JUST DON'T KNOW" about Global Warming.

I did like Stewart's line about "pooping in holes."

2. I thought Jon allowed the guy to hang his own self with enough rope
Edited on Tue Feb-13-07 11:45 PM by berni_mccoy
The guy (Chris Horner) came off as a total nutjob.

7. Agreed -- I thought it was one of Stewart's BEST interviews ...
... he just kept throwing out the bait, knowing this Idiot was gonna lap it up, and take it as encouragement to just keep blabbing away.

I wonder if he was paid to be such an idiot, or is naturally inclined that way.

9. Well, he IS from AEI! You know, the same AEI who offered $10,000 to any "scientist" who would...
...write a "scientific" paper that would disagree with U.N. paper that 90% of Scientists in the world just recently agreed on, so....

Wha'd ya expect?

11. I was going to say the same thing....
...after that guy rambled on with pure gobble-dy-gook, Stewart just looked at him and said "What?"

Perfect response.

14. I liked the audience response
The grumbling and - well, not outright booing, but deep displeasure was clearly conveyed. :)

15. The bit about killing hobos, was that a reference to a Stephen King story?
Edited on Wed Feb-14-07 02:49 AM by ToeBot
...from Different Seasons? I missed the connection, all the sudden they are talking about killing hobos, weird.

16. I think it was a "call back" (I thinks that's what Comedians call it) from ...
...several jokes they've done in the past, but probably most directly to several Rob Corddry clips. One of the most famous was the one where he went to a spa that also teaches "Gun Safety." I think one of the clips in in this video clip: <http://www.comedycentral.com/sitewide/media_player/play.jhtml?itemId=79273>

17. I loved how Jon switched from joke mode to being calm and insistent ...
... asking about what was happening to the tons and tons of carbon being pumped into the atmosphere. The guest ignored him (I suppose that's because it would mean admitting that something as big as the ocean is now changing its acidity).
