The underlying theme in all of this garbage is: Anna is a slut. She slept with a lot of men.

For some reason Anna Nicole dying really hit me. I wasn't even a fan but I got really depressed by it. I thought it was extremely tacky of Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband to come out now and claim he is the father of the baby. I wouldn't be surprised if he's never touched her and just wanted the attention.

I was surprised that her death brought about great feelings of sadness; I actually cried. She was a tormented soul who made mistakes that got blown up publically, as if we all don't have our moments. She got hammered hard with every bad choice she made in technocolor where most of us can slink away and the world at large is none the wiser. She lived with both the personal knowledge of bad decisions and public derision and judgment, where really the person she hurt the most was herself. May she rest in peace.

There has been an awful lot of men come out who had affairs with her. And they always seem to have the proof to back them up. I never did care for her,I thought she acted over the top all the time and madly in love with herself. Her reality show was horrible. She talked like she was on some major drugs all the time.She wanted to be Marilyn Monroe but there was NO comparison....Marilyn was sexy but classy. she was alive, except that her life seems tragic. When I read about the death of her son and then realized that a newborn is missing her mother, even if flawed babies know who mom is, just makes this tragic.

Perhaps even more tragic is these men who "seem like creeps" are gonna be fighting over custody of a 2 month old infant.

She grew up poor, was abandoned by the men she loved in her early life, dropped out of High School, etc.
She made bad choices..no doubt..but she doesn't deserve this kind of notoriety.
For once in her life, she should be allowed to rest.
And yet she still is lying in a refrigerator somewhere waiting for someone else to take a shot at her. Very sad.

It's disgusting that we have to put up with hour after hour of our news media covering the death
of a pathetic, morally impaired, clearly over-drugged woman. I find myself changing the channels
today, turning off any channel that gives me the newest information on the final hours of Anna
Nicole Smith's life. Ironically, earlier in the day, yesterday, before she died, CNN ran a special
on her meaningless, celebrity based on nothing meaningful life-- and the videos of her all showed
a woman heavily drugged, dopey and out of it. As soon as I heard of her death, it was clear, she
was not another Marilyn. She was another Elvis, who drowned in her own vomit.

Funny thing about Anna Nicole Smith's initials. They also spell the acronym for the autonomic nervous system-- that's the one that controls our stress response and keeps our physiology balanced. The ANS is what goes off kilter when we get upset, when we get angry or aroused. The way the mainstream media went 24-7 on us with Anna Nicole stuff makes me think that she represents some truths about our culture. Maybe it's the fact that we see a bit of ourselves that we really don't like in her-- her brazen, uninhibited efforts to be famous, to get rich.

I said, in Friday's newsletter, that she reminded me more of Elvis Presley than Marilyn Monroe, because she died a similar death. I don't think Elvis tried to kill himself. I think he just used too much of too many substances and! I think the same will be found true of ANS. She overdosed on the bigness of her life. Maybe because there was no substance to dilute it. We can see the men in her life appear to be parasites, using her, manipulating her. THere will be untold numbers of docudramas about her, her child, and I'm sure that at least one will evoke ROSEBUD... some elusive part of her childhood that she was never ever able to reach.

We love our our sex gods and goddesses and we also love that in their beauty and celebrity, they are vulnerable, they are also to be pitied, to be held in contempt. Perhaps there's something we can learn from ANS about the world of politics too. What she gave us was more than beauty, it was a way for us to feel good about the way we are, because of our perceptions of her flaws. Perhaps that is the saving grace of Dubya too. He gives his supporters their self esteem by being so powerful and yet so flawed.

So, for someone who is soooo sick of the news media covering her death and life,
they sure do talk a lot about it!

I was never a fan and never paid her much attention, but I was shocked when she died. I felt bad for her and for all her personal loss. I could careless about how many men she slept with. She was both beautiful and rich, so she might as well take advantage of her assets and enjoy herself. If she liked having a new man in her bed every night, I could careless.

Anna was certainly what one would consider a "materialistic, self-absorbed slut" but she never had as much idolism as either Paris or Britney.
