A barely passed non binding resolution means less than nothing
non binding. A non binding resolution, which does nothing, from congress to a president who has shown for, oh, maybe, the entirety of his residency, that he doesn't give a damn what congress or the people do.

A million people are a "focus group".

The congress is filled with those who will do next to nothing.

The reporters are saying it is part of a strategy that is to be implemented in steps.

What about outing the lying fascist freaks and stopping the madness

NOW

(just my personal rant)

2. Sock it to me!
We've been planning the Democratic takeover of Congress since Bush ordered Saddam Hussein to "disarm," and a non-binding resolution is the best these jokers can do?

BTW, have you received your DCCC 2007 New Directions Survey in the mail yet? If so, PM me.

3. The point of the resolution. . .
is to get Republicans to take a stand, so that when it is reported in the news that Republicans by and large were in favor of continuing *'s Iraq policy, the dissonance between their support and what most Americans clearly want will be felt more keenly by voters. Granted it doesn't do much besides that, but hopefully the Democrats will come up with other ideas as well.
