Does anyone here listen to Lynn Samuels on Sirius Left?

Sometimes, I'm not sure which side this lady is on. In fact, most of the time she sounds almost Republican. Today she was talking about global warming being just some nutty scientists' propaganda. She thinks that there are a lot more scientists coming forward to debunk global warming, and she is tying the things that we need to do to stop global warming with the loss of more of our rights. It's like she can't see that all the rights in the world aren't going to help us if we're dead. I don't think I like this woman's politics.

1. Randi Rhodes on steroids

I had a hard time getting past her accent and phrasing. But the few times I did try to listen I detected a lot of sort of "centrist" rhetoric. So I turned ot off and never turned it back on.

2. I think she has "cleaned up" her act...when she was on local NY radio

on erratic schedule she was pretty cool.

I need to be very desperate to listen to her. Sirius Left leaves a lot to be desired although it does have some good talkers , which makes me wonder how long it will stay around. I read here that XM did away with left talk, and am wondering ,with the trouble over the merger, if Bush co is out to destroy any and all voices against them. Shades of Germany 1935. Back to Lynn, what you hear is what you get, just turn her off.

4. I LOVE Lynn! All she was warning us is that GW will be used as an excuse

to oppress us more (she fears travel restrictions) and that lots of folks will find ways to make money off of it (including the gov, who will tax us on it) and you know what, she's probably right. As for her take on the warming itself, she's right in saying that of course the earth has ice ages and periods of warming and while we may contribute to it, we're not the sole cause. She's kind of a libertarian in alot of ways.

5. Sirius version of liberal radio....Samuel's has the worst fucking taste in music and

she let's it go on it seems forever, then more than half her show is gossip, and bullshit no one cares the fuck about....I think she's on just to shock and say "that cocksucker Bush"....Sirius actually pre-empties Thom Hartmann's two live hours for Samuel's shit!

At least Sirius does offers Mike Malloy live for three hours....But Sirius has got to get rid of Samuel's. She a fucking joke and a waste of time...again the worst sense of music I've ever heard, sounds like rejected old Studio 54 techno-pop...Samuel's doesn't have a clue...the old bag thinks she's hip....imagine pulling Hartmann for her shitty two hours...She's not much of a liberal and no real political info what-so-ever!

6. Slightly off topic, but Sirius and XM are going to merge...

I didnt know if that had been discussed in DU recently, but it was in the news this week.
