MSNBC fact checks Fred Thompson

http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2007/10/10/405337.aspx

From NBC's Courtney Kube
Debate newcomer Fred Thompson had one line last night that left us scratching our heads... He said, "The Iraq Study Group reported that had designs on reviving his nuclear program which he had started once upon a time." While other individuals or groups may have stated that, it is not in the Iraq Study Group's final report.

1. You don't fact check republicans
You take a pulse of the community to see how they feel about what the republican said. You find out if it feels like the truth.

3. What happened? Who died and made them do their job?
fact checks are for democrats, silly!

if they'd start deconstructing this bunch (GOP candidates) - they'd be left with a bunch of floating feathers...But then again, look who's in the White House now!

4. I had a chamber meeting this morning with Lamar Alexander -
Tennessee's other senator (well, besides Bob Corker, now)... and he mentioned that he is "quietly" encouraging the president to embrace the Iraq Study Group's report.

It's interesting to see Republicans running from the issue of Iraq to a roomful of business people.
