We Dems go nuts over the difficulty of pointing out Republican hypocrisy. But you've just made it a bit easier.

Our party, as opposed to yours, doesn't really care how many men's rooms you cruise, or whether you're gay, straight, bi, or trans. What we do care about is how people like you vote on issues that impact people whose sexual orientation doesn't fit your liking or the liking of those who put you in office.

Since your decision to stick around hasn't caused your constituents to seize you and burn you at the stake, we now know that they are as hypocritical as you are. And you've done us a great service by making this apparent. (Not that it's something we didn't know, but perhaps there are a few among them who will finally "get it.")

So enjoy the rest of your tenure in the senate with the knowledge that many of your "esteemed colleagues" are snickering at you, whispering about you in the cloak room, and are embarrassed by your existence on this planet. Of course, some are probably also gay, but as long as no one knows about it, what the hell. They still get to play the role of straight, righteous, God-fearing Christians who are entitled to be reelected and pass laws against "degenerates."
