12. It's more simple than that
It's Catholicism. I assure you. They hate Catholics intensely.

I've seen and been a part of the latter end of that hate before discovering the joys of agnosticism.

It's why I call any Catholic who votes for a "Born-Again" president a F***ING TOOL no matter how "conservative" the think they are! They try to justify it with some anti-choice BS. Like that s*** would ever fly here without major repercussions.

14. Oh... excellent point.
I hadn't thought about that part of it, but you're right... they don't have much love for Catholics after the votes are manipulated counted.

that may have had incestuous affairs in addition to killing off any threats.

"Sins of the fathers" doesn't work when you're not involved in the sinning. Mitt's healthy military age boys "supporting the war" by playing Republican cheerleaders is what irks me. His grandparents' polygamy? Can't say he or his parents or kids had much of a say in that.

Plenty of reason not to like the man, that ain't one.

The Southern Baptists, Talibornagains, and other assorted Evangelicals can't even accept a Catholic President. Regardless of the divorces and leniency against gays and lesbians. It's about the Catholicism IMHO. They just can't stand "papists" because they're not "real Christians". If you've ever had to deal with them as a "Catholic Ally" as I did when I was in my teens and retarded conservative phase, you'd They are one of the main reasons why I went to the left. Hateful idiotic bigots too stupid to accept those with a variation on their views.

They'd do the same for Mitt and Mormonism.

Not only is it good that they could hand the WH to the Dem candidate, it should provide a clearer indicator as to the actual number of hardline fundy whackjob social conservative voters. Then they can STFU about being a "majority" in their fantasy "christian nation". :eyes:

More Bad News For Rudy

--snip--

But take a look at this Rasmussen polling that our Eric Kleefeld has highlighted. In a hypothetical three-way race with Hillary Clinton and a pro-life third party candidate, 27% of Republicans would vote for the third party candidate. Overall, in that hypothetical match-up, Hillary polls at 46%, Rudy at 30%, and unknown third party candidate at 14%.

he's got a lot of flaws, but I'd never underestimate the power of Fear, the Ghoulmeister's favorite currency. Who thought that the silver-spoon idiot from Crawford would become a Governor, much less the President of the USA?

Overconfidence is a dangerous thing. But, I'll be thrilled if you're right and I'm wrong.

19. Whoever sweeps the center WINS! The populace is a bell-curve, thin at the edges
and very fat in the middle. That is where elections are decided, not by radical fringes. RG is the best choice for winning the center!

Not to mention, there is more to each election than the Presidency. One has to factor all the variables, not just one.
