1. "You're Zell Miller!"
Edited on Tue Oct-02-07 10:29 PM by Gregorian
He absolutely ripped him to pieces. It was great. I though he was going to get physical.

Phew

It just reinforced why I love Jon. I totally do not want to get "ahead". I don't impress people. I never pushed a girl for a date. I don't dress up. I quit high paying jobs to have my time to myself.

11. Yessss!1 Jon *demolished* Tweety!!1 & all Tweety could do was to attempt to bully his way through
Edited on Tue Oct-02-07 10:54 PM by UTUSN
screeching, "This is the WORST interview! You are the WORST! The WORST!" Like repetition makes it so.

Then Tweety continued with his bullying, "You are AFRAID of this book! AFRAID! AFRAID!"

& Jon replied, "Yes, I am afraid of FASCISM!1"

So, what was Tweety's great riposte?!1 "Come on Hardball" Uh, WHY, Tweetster, to boost your pathetic ratings?!1

15. I had already turned off the computer and gone to bed for the night.
I watched Stewart rip Tweety's head off, pluck his feathers, cut him up, toss him in some flour and "special spices" and throw his ass in some hot oil all in the span of 10 minutes. Jon deep fried Tweety's ass before Tweety even knew what hit him. I knew I had to come back into the computer. boot this puppy up and see what DU thought about the interview. Laughed my ass. Best damn TV of the month -and it is only the 2nd.

25. It was great. Best part for me was when Tweety said 'You have to listen to them,' meaning
women you want to get into bed (Ugh, anyway). And Stewart said, You don't listen -
to anybody!" God, it felt good to hear that!

Jon Stewart is a national treasure. Tweety was totally pissed at being so regally and thoroughly dissed.
Hooraaaayy!

I'm gonna sleep like a baby.

Man, the funniest part was watching Tweety try to conceal his rage behind a fake smile and a fake laugh. They went well with a fake news program (uh, Jon's, not Tweety's).

43. Jon was pretty brutal, hun?
I can't think about Tweety without being reminded how he obsessed over Junior's crotch during the 'mission accomplished' fiasco on May 1, 2003.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=post&forum=389&topic_id=1963736&mesg_id=1964622

And when he said a year and a half later that the knucklehead "glimmers" with a "kind of sunny nobility," I just totally wrote him off as someone with some real serious issues.

41. Chris Matthews -IS- The DC/Euphemedia Analstocracy
Watch the video multiple times to truly appreciate the dynamic going on.

Matthews has apparently revealed himself in his book to really be the soulless, inhuman functional sociopath that we usually only associate with some idealized, pessimistic view of the craven, cynical "beltway insider."

Stewart was simply probing for some evidence of human life inside that automaton shell. To his own obvious (and pathetically hilarious) horror, he came up empty.

This is the mentality required to keep impeachment "off the table," to tolerate ongoing torture, to ignore stolen elections, and to limit accountability to a "tsk, tsk" in the WashedUp Post.

We must keep hammering the DC Dems back to consciousness. They have the same disease.

"When you want someone to hire you or marry you, aren't you on a 'campaign'?"

No, you idiot, the rest of us are just living life, tools like you are living a "campaign," which is to say, all BS all the time.

Remember his gushy GWB quotes after the invasion? I guess that was part of the "Chris Matthews Campaign."

Who needs it? What good is he?
