3. I've been waiting so long!
I signed up for tickets back in April, and today was the earliest open date. Still better than Colbert tickets, though. Those are impossible to get. :-(

Anyway, gotta go get ready! Have to be there in a couple hours. :P

20. I Tried To Get Tickets Around Then
We were in NYC in late August and were told that tickets were booked for the rest of the year...they wouldn't be accepting requests again until early next year. Congrats on getting 'em...I'm jealous. The saving grace was when were in town, Jon and Stephen were on vacation.

I was also hoping to get tickets to see David Letterman and also ran into a long line. Ironically, the afternoon before we were to leave, I ran into one of Letterman's people at 48th and Broadway who was giving away tickets...unfortunately it was for the day after we had to leave. Next time I know where to look. I did get to Rupert's Deli and got him to sign a guest check.

Last year, my son lucked into tickets to see Conan when he was at the Chicago Theater...it was a blast. Our fun was watching all the things you don't see on the screen. Mark Pender did one hell of a warm-up and the band was awesome.

Congrats on your good fortune...I'll be watching.

Cheers...

12. Yeah, we had a great time.
There was a warm-up comedian, then Jon Stewart took questions from a few of the audience members. It was really cool seeing all the behind-the-scenes stuff. Plus, the audience was really fun.

15. It's definitely worth it.
When you go, get there really early because they overbook it. Some of the people who got there later couldn't get in. The line was actually a lot of fun, very social. People brought food and were reading the Onion, and were laughing and talking.

14. I shouted "Tweety!!" when he was coming onstage,
but I doubt you'll be able to hear it over the other people.

5. This is surprising
If I recall correctly he was rather annoyed with Stewart last time he was on. It was great.
