Ed Murphy Op-Ed
Supporting the troops should mean more than a hill of beans

On the home front, our sacrifice rarely goes deeper than coffee and magnetic ribbons.

The barista had her spiel down pat. "Support our troops by buying a bag of coffee and we'll send it to Iraq." Everyone wins: The coffee shop sells another bag at retail, the troops get the same caffeinated start to the day as we here in the homeland, and best of all, you, the customer, have the satisfaction of fulfilling your duty to support the troops.
